The Living God of Jesus Christ is present and active among the people of Arlington Street UMC.  If you are looking for a place where you can learn how to love and serve the Lord, then we invite you to come and worship with us.  We are a warm and welcoming congregation that emphasizes personal relationships and active faith. We look forward to seeing where God will lead us next!

Christian Education Ministries - We believe in active Christian Education from newborn to adult by teaching through word and example. ASUMC welcomes children ages 3 and up through adults for Christian Education. Sunday School Classes gather together for a worship service and then split into the appropriate Christian Education Classes.  As part of our Christian Education Ministries, ASUMC provides training via a Safe Sanctuaries Workshop to our teachers, Youth Group leaders and nursery providers. This training encompasses a child protection policy, background checks, and volunteers to work in groups of 2 for Nursery Care. Nursery Care is available, downstairs, for children under first grade after dismissal from the Children's Story in the Worship Service.

Community Outreach Ministry - We believe that God calls the church to follow Jesus' example by ministering to the needs of people in our community.  Some of our ongoing programs include our Food Box which helps support four local food pantries. In addition to monthly featured items, sample sized personal care items are also collected to help support our annual health care basket program. We have a team of servers from our congregation that serve food on the fourth Friday of each month at the Nashua Soup Kitchen. ASUMC collects and forwards Labels for Education to help with education. Other events that we participate in are: Personal Care Items for the Nashua Pastoral Care Center, Crop Walk, distributing overnight bags for children entering foster care, and the Salvation Army Angel Tree, which helps provide a joyous Christmas to families in need. These are just a few of our local activities, plus ASUMC participates in the Greater Nashua Interfaith Hospitality Network (GNIHN) - a network which currently uses rotational models of hosting at churches overnight with support of a day center for families in transition. We invite you to become an extension of ASUMC's community outreach ministries.

Music Ministry - We believe that the purpose of music ministry is to bring glory and honor to God.  Our Adult Choir continues its tradition of weekly rehearsals and performances and is off during the summer months. We perform several new pieces during the year with a mix of contemporary, classical and spiritual styles. Every other year, we perform a cantata, which vividly depicts in song, aspects of Christian living. On special occasions, we are blessed to have special music as part of our worship service. Additionally, we have soloists, trumpeters, dancers, flutists and others who share their God given talents with us throughout the year. Our Bell Choir performs regularly  and welcomes new members. We welcome you and your musical talents.

Senior Health Ministry - We believe God calls us to care for the health of seniors within our church and community.  The Parish Nurse offers services such as blood pressure monitoring, medication consultation and prayerful support. ASUMC's Parish Nurse in conjunction with St. Joseph's Hospital offers services at each of our public suppers. All seniors and others needing these services are invited to attend.

United Methodist Men Ministry - We believe in intentional fellowship by gathering every second Sunday of each month at 8:30am. We share breakfast together and discuss issues relating to scriptures, family, work, sports, our church and even some politics. We engage each other intellectually and spiritually in a relaxed and amicable atmosphere. This format of discussions is enlightening and allows us to increase our awareness of ourselves and our many roles in our lives, church and community.

United Methodist Women Ministry - We believe that we are a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. We gather together to catch up on each other's lives and renew our fellowship. ASUMC's United Methodist Women meet from April to October and we welcome and invite all women to join us.
